J's class

A day with only a few kids. It's usually jammed packed with kiddos. Call me crazy but I think Justus is the cutest!

In RE of my Blog, and the comment left about the BUDGET: Yes Tiff, you should write it out, just seeing it on paper helps. I understand about being a Pastors wife, and going to the showers, but I have gotten around giving gifts, or I pull something out of my "closet" my moma taught me this one... start a gift closet of little things that you pick up here and there- and use them for gifts when you don't have money to buy one- Its hard being in the ministry because people may expect you to give a "good" gift, but i've learned that if I can't afford something, then oh well. I will still go to the party- but just not bring a gift!! I KNOW HOW RUDE! But back to the budget, its good that you are already on a cash system- that helps- but keeping track of how much you spend is even better. You will probably end up with money that normally you would have just blown. Thus leaving room for a small start to a savings account. SO all that being said I HOPE YOU READ THIS! I didn't know where to post it! So I guess I can copy and paste it your blog too! Sorry for the email sized comment!

Also- I have learned that TIME is a GIFT... especially when you are a Pastors Wife. People will be apprecitive of your time later on, when they are in need. God brought you into their lives to help them- not give them gifts. Pray about it! Love you- We are in this together. I get invited to all the parties, because being the Children's Pastor the parents invite me, being the Youth Pastors Wife, I get invited to youth birthday parties, and then of course with Chris also being the associate, I get invited to all the Bridal showers and baby showers. Most of the time If I can just drop in Its a good thing- because I am so busy- but again "TIME" is a gift. Don't ever forget that! Like me spending TIME with you and you with me in NC was a gift that you gave me. No it was not wrapped in $5.95 paper from Hallmark (waste of money...) but it was heartfelt and sincere. Sometimes just writing a card that reminds them that you care about them, and are their for them, or that you are praying for them is good. It means a lot- Okay enough Pastors Wife Class 101. Talk to you soon.
