The puke flood

I know that this is pretty gross but I can't help it. This is a day in my life and puke or no, I love it. Justus has now puked a total of 5 times. Not really that bad for the whole day. Fortunately he was with sam two of those times! After he woke up from the afternoon nap he was starving, so he had a few crackers & pedialyte. Three hours later he had kept everything down and didn't want another cracker, he wanted his bottle. I pretty much knew it would come back up so I tried everything I could to distract him. It didn't work. So I gave him the bottle of milk. STUPID thing to do! Ten minutes later it was on the carpet, me and anything in the immediate vacinity. I'm going to have to deep clean the carpet-it smells so bad in the livingroom. YUK! My poor child is so hungry but crackers will have to do, I can't stand the smell of warm milk on the floor...also one other thing of interest. It came out of his nose, sorry if you think I'm cruel but he had what I can only discribe as cottage cheese boogers. Yes its all true. The great part is I don't mind. I'm just thankful I only have one child right now. Thinking back when I was younger when one got sick we all got sick. Dad was usually the only one up & about grabbing ginger ale, crackers, & lots of towels. Don't know if I'm ready for all that just yet. So for now I'll keep my one sick youngen' & be happy!

Good Morning America!

At 7:12 this AM justus woke up. He was ready to play & talk, and all that jazz. However a few minutes later we had hotdog & cheese chunks all over the bed. And that was only the beginning. Sorry if this is grossing you out; it did me! My poor child has been sick two more times now & hasn't been able to keep anything down. He must have a pretty squeasy stomach. This is the second time in a couple of months that he has had the stomach bug. Sam is getting some pedialyte so hopefully Justus will be feeling better soon. Dang it, this is the second weekend in a row that we have been planning to see a movie but something has come up. Oh well, that's life. Maybe tommorrow Justus will be better. Maybe we should just rent a movie & be happy. It would be a lot cheaper! I'm that there will be more to say as the day goes on but I wanted to get this in before anymore incidents happen.

Sam said this is the best pic of the two I got of the boys so I thought I would pull it up & see. I hope to see Jaiden & the cousins this weekend. We will see if Bethany is up to it. I think Sam was right, just look at the mischievious look on those two faces. Jaiden has no clue what he's got himself into!

One very long night

Last night wasn't much fun at all. Sam & I went to bed at 11:15 we were both tired but couldn't sleep so we talked for about 45 minutes until sam started getting sleepy. We had a great talk about past, present, & future. That part was actually fun b/c sam usually falls asleep pretty fast. We talked about what to do for our 5th anniversary this fall in Sept. He said we should go on a cruise. We bothed laughed knowing that isn't happening(no money). Then we said maybe Gatlinburg & a few other things that might be nice. We will have to wait & see. Last time we tried to leave Justus overnight I couldn't do it. But it sure would be nice to have sam all to myself if even for only 24 hrs. Anyways let me get to the not so much fun part of my night...

Hours after sam fell alseep I was still awake. I prayed for a while, this is my best prayer time without interuption. Then I tossed & turned for a while. And then just when I started to fall asleep I felt something crawling on my hand, a SPIDER....YUK!!!!!!! I killed the nasty booger but then I wouldn't go back to sleep again. I just kept itching & feeling things that weren't even there. Right now I'm itching just telling the story. I hate spiders & no one likes one crawling on them, right?. I guess for the next few nights I will be checking the sheets & all that nonsense. Hopefully tonight I will have a better experience!

Sam was kind & took Justus with him to the church this AM, he does this occasionally when I get on overload. And sometimes just to be nice. So I have had the entire morning to myself. And what have I done with this alone time???? Absolutely nothing. I slept in late so I won't be grumpy with Justus this afternoon & then talked to my sister to see how she & Jaiden are doing. Which is great by the way. Jaiden has maintained his weight, so that is awesome.( most babies lose some weight after coming home the hospital & then quickly gain it back).

I guess I should go & do something productive before Sam & Justus get here. Sam works at the YMCA in the afternoon so I haven't got much time. It has been nice to have a lazy morning with nothing to do but it's over now. (Well there is plenty to do but you know what I mean, nothing I had to do). OK I gotta go. Well, I finally figured out how to post pics. That is, I did it once. Now if I can do it again, some might call me a genius...lol. NOT. But at least I am a little bit smarter than I was yesterday. And that's a small step forward.

I thought they looked cute, Justus wasn't exactly sure what to do. He looked at Jaiden like he was an alien or something. However when Jaiden went to sleep Justus was pointing & wanted another look of his cousin.

Ever since this day he sits by the glass doors looking outside like a child who is trapped. I can't blame him. This day at the park was lots of fun! The cousins were there with us.

Bored!

When asked about this day, I have to say that so far it has been rather uneventful. Justus & I have spent the day playing which has been good. We are both in a pretty good mood. And he hasn't been to cranky. I have however figured out the source of his crankiness. That would be 4 teeth coming in at the same time. Three of the four have broken through the skin so I guess at least that part of the pain is over. When all is said & done he will have a total of 12 teeth. YIKES!

His mouth is like the jaws of death, don't get a finger caught near it or else your in for some pain of your own. I have learned to place food in his hand rather than putting it in his mouth. Needless to say I've had teeth marks on my fingers a few too many times.

Moving on....we are planning a three on three basketball tournament at our church in a few short weeks. Our plan is to make this an annual event in order to let people know more about our church. Particularly teenagers. Our second objective is for the fun it. Sam has been working hard, so I hope it is a great success!

Well, Justus is getting antsie. Gotta go

Monday

What can I say, it's monday and has been a pretty typical day. Sam & I got groceries today. This is about the only day we can go since the week gets pretty busy after that.

Good news- Jaiden came home today & is off of the antibiotics! Bad news- the other two kids have some kind of stomach bug, so Bethany is already going nuts! Poor girl, I can't imagine running after three kids. Justus is enough for me right now. I already had to give him two baths today.
The first was b/c of icing in his hair from a biscuit. And the second was jello, head to toe.

We just had supper (egg rolls & chicken wontons). Not healthy at all. It took about three hours for me & mom to make it. I like this meal but it take WAY too long! Thankfully we had some help at the end.

We have a boy!

Jaiden Matthew Sloop born this evening at 6:39 pm. Weighin 7 lbs. 13 oz. I can't believe there is new baby in family. Justus of course looks huge now compared to Jaiden. Everything went well and mom & baby are doing great. We went to the hospital at 2 this afternoon & he was born around 6pm. Not too bad. Bethany did great!!!! And the baby is healthy! CHeck out a few pic. At tma.buzznet.com I will try to get a few more tommorrow.

It might be baby day!

Bethany called to say she wasn't feeling to good last night & this AM she said she has been having back pain. So we are all buzzing around getting showers groceries, and all the things we need to get done before it's time to go to the hospital. Back pain is of course just one indication of labor but since this is her third baby we all want to be ready. They seem to come faster with each baby. Last time it was only 6 hours at the hospital before Brieanna was born.

Thanks to you guys lifting us up in prayer! It worked....and my dad seems more like himself today. Please continue to pray b/c the enemy doesn't like peace very much. I think it will take some time before Sam & dad's relationship will be at the same level as before but they did talk some this morning and that has helped too.

Sam & I had planned to go see a movie tonight, this would be the first time in over 3 months that we would actually be by ourselves. I guess that all depends on baby Jaiden and when/if he decides to grace us with his prescence. (sorry the spelling is bad).

I hope to keep up with whole blog things but, we'll have to wait & see. Also until I figure out how to post pics here they will be at this address in case you want to see. tma.buzznet.com

What today will bring

For those of you who know me I am asking for your prayers. There is a lot going on here at home in NC. As you know we live in what I generously call a "basement apartment" with my parents. This can prove to be a challenging situation. And last night a few things changed in our house, mainly the relationship between my Dad & husband. Up until now they have had a good relationship. Please pray that the unease will be resolved soon. Justus has picked up on the tension & has been super sensitive today.

On a happier note my sister will be having her third baby any day now. I hope that she will have him in the middle of the night or during the day sometime before 1pm. Strange request I know but, those are the times when Sam could watch Justus so I can be there when the baby is born. I have been in the delivery room both times before when Brandon & Brieanna were born. It would be terrible to miss Jaidens birth.
