Funny to me

Ezekiel has been trying to call me mommy lately, but instead he ends up saying 'bobby' or 'Mobby'. He makes me laugh every time.

Have you heard about this???

Arkansas Woman Killed in Mistaken Rapture
December 28, 2007

ARKANSAS CITY (EAP) -- A Little Rock woman was killed yesterday after leaping through her moving car's sunroof during an incident best described as a "mistaken rapture" by dozens of eye-witnesses.

Thirteen other people were injured after a twenty-car pile-up resulted from people trying to avoid hitting the woman, who was apparently convinced that the rapture was occurring when she saw twelve people floating up into the air, and then passed a man on the side of the road who she believed was Jesus.

"She started screaming ..He's back! He's back!' and climbed out through the sunroof and jumped off the roof of the car," said Everet Williams, husband of 28-year-old Georgann Williams who was pronounced dead at the scene.

"I was slowing down but she wouldn't wait till I stopped," Williams said. "She thought the rapture was happening and was convinced that Jesus was gonna lift her up into the sky," he went on to say.

"This is the strangest thing I've seen since I've been on the force," said Paul Madison, first officer on the scene.

Madison questioned the man who looked like Jesus and discovered that he was on his way to a toga costume party, when the tarp covering the bed of his pickup truck came loose and released twelve blow-up sex dolls filled with helium, which then floated up into the sky.

Ernie Jenkins, 32, of Fort Smith, who's been told by several of his friends that he looks like Jesus, pulled over and lifted his arms into the air in frustration and said "Come back," just as the Williams' car passed him, and Mrs. Williams was sure that it was Jesus lifting people up into heaven as they drove by him.

"I think my wife loved Jesus more than she loved me," the widower said when asked why his wife would do such a thing.

When asked for comments about the twelve sex dolls, Jenkins replied "This is all just too weird for me. I never expected anything like this to happen."

Well, there isn't alot of 'joyful' expressions going on around here at the moment. My dad lost his job today. He worked for a real estate company doing repairs. He is a general contractor but hasn't gotten his liscense yet. Anyways, my mom is all freaked out which can trickle down to me if I'm not careful. The amazing thing is that GOD has already prepared my dad for this. In fact I think he had an idea what was coming, he was talking about it a little bit. Maybe he was trying to soften the blow for my mom. I don't think she got the hint. I am believing that there is an job already lined up for him & that our Heavenly Father will show him what the next step is!!! IN the meantime, please pray for our family!!!

Our 'snow' day...

The snow came & the snow left. The best of the snow was at 3am when I was peacfully sleeping in my warm bed. By 9am (when my husband woke us all up) there was still some icy snow laying around but it was raining. Sam & I got the boys ready to go outside and he took them outside, I waited inside & got dry clothes ready. I knew they couldn't stay out long because the rain was melting the snow even though it was still 32 degrees outside. I'm bummed that the snow didn't last & it wasn't very much fun (as a parent) but Justus had a blast. He came in for new clothes and headed right back out. He may have spent a total of forty five minutes outside before coming in for some hot chocolate.

There was a lot of icy snow on the trampoline without having to dig around in the mud. (a mommy idea)

Watchout!!!! SNOWBALL!

Zeke wearing socks b/c his mitten he wore earlier weren't waterproof.

Everybody meet Cody the snowman:

Cody after a battle with Justus & the rain, he tried to repair him but it didn't work.

Testimony Time

This past week was our crusade/revival at church. It was great & God has done some amazing things in our lives! So I thought I would share a little. First of all our Pastor prayed with our whole family to break a generational curse; for me personally it was encouraging that I wasn't the only one who saw it. There was a lady healed of terminal cancer, another lady who had pain from a cyst on her ovary was healed as well. There are so many things that happened I can't begin to tell them all but I will share a few more.

ON the last night the evangelist had everyone bring their bills to pray over. Of course everyone did! My sister was one of those, and she did get a miracle. She has been away from the Lord for a while living life her own way. She recieved a eviction notice from her land lady on Jan. 1st to be out by the 15th. That would be on Tuesday. Well she came each night which was a miracle in itself. But she brought her bills. ON thursday we were asking her if she had all her things out of her place & if she needed help getting things out. On Friday she called to say that her land lady had called and is giving her a second chance! Bethany was SO excited and giving GOD the glory. She was saying that it was truly a miracle of GOD, which is true b/c no one could have changed things for her. THen she told me that she was believing for another miracle since she was behind on the light bill as well and it was to be cut off on Tuesday as well. Today she told us that she had just enough money to keep the lights on!!!! THANK YOU GOD for showing yourself to my sister who had given up!!!

My brother & sis-in-law got a reciept from their car company showing that two payments had been made in December, they only payed one. Then, this morning our Pastor gets up and says he has to tell us a story of what happened. The second night of the crusade someone pulled him aside & gave him a check (for the church) for more than thirty thousand dollars. How awesome is that???!!!!

So that was awesome to hear of financial miracles, and be witness to some of them myself. Plus see emotional healing and physical healing as well. What an awesome faith booster!

I also went up for prayer for a lump in my breast. It is still there but I am believing that God is faithful to finish what he has started. So there is my testimony for now!!!

Hope you each have a wonderful day!

Too cute!!!

On the way to church yesterday Justus said "Mommy I'm gonna make you crowd (proud) of me!" He makes me smile & laugh. For every fifteen frustrated moments there is that ONE moment that wipes it all away.

So, for a long time I have felt a tad bit aimless in my life. Part of it is the depression I went through ( and still fight). Another part of it is being a stay at home mom and becoming complacent. There are moments that I feel I am spinning my wheels. I can't say I feel it's a waste of time but it would be a lie if I said it is just pure bliss. I find it hard to maintain my relationships. With family, friends & specifically God. However the past few months have been different.

I should start with the stirring that God had been doing in our church, it has been a refreshing change for me. I have gone from showing up at church to anticipating what will happen. A lot of that has been my own attitude. And of course the Holy Spirit stirring in my heart. God has been at work with our pastor as well.

A few weeks before Thanksgiving our pastor announced that we would be doing a miracle crusade at our church. It started today & I'm very excited. Already people have been healed. In preparation for the crusade there have been tons of prayer meetings & fasting. All of this is coinciding with the Holy Spirit stirring the congregation.

And during this time I have been reading more faithful than usual----that sounds bad but I'm happy that my appetite for God's word is in full swing again. I hope to not lose momentum.

So thats my tidbit of my heart for now. Just thought I'd share a bit!

I want to fit into one of these....not barbie size of course but something smaller than what I wear now! Losing weight is not a new years resolution for me but is something that is on my mind!! I Love this ornament!!! Too cute!

New Year's Eve

For New Year's we simply stayed around the house. We watched seven brides for seven brothers and talked until it was time to watch the ball drop. Dick Clark has come so far in his recovery & he has a sense of humor about it. Pretty cool. On New Year's Day we woke up late and watched some football. In the afternoon we decided to play games. We usually have a game day sometime during the holiday season. Last year we played Fact or Crap & MadGab. This year we played CLUE, it was fun almost every person won a game, we played four or five times. That took up the afternoon and the rest of our evening. After that everyone had to get back to real life and get ready for work. So that 's it for me..

Christmas

This year we had Christmas at 'my' house aka downstairs. We had to because there is no room upstairs anymore. My mom got a new table that is enormous! We can all sit down & eat together but once we're there we can't move. Sometimes it's fun
having everyone eat together other times it's just a royal pain! The table is nice, I like it alot. I'll take a picture soon.

At our house we open gifts one person at a time starting with the youngest. Last year we let all the kids open at one time. No one liked it. We didn't get to see each others gift. So we went back to the long drawn out process & we all like it better that way! I only got to take a few pictures so here is one of each of the kids youngest to oldest. After the kids are done couples take turns opening. I didn't get any couple pic b/c Justus wanted all his toys opened so we were busy.
